These Terms cover how Meal Theory takes orders, prepares food, and delivers it. By placing an order with us - by phone, text, email, or this website - you agree to what’s written below. If something here isn’t workable for you, tell us before you order and we’ll figure it out.
1. What we offer
Meal Theory is a weekly meal-prep service operating out of Delray Beach, Florida. Each week we publish a menu. You pick exactly five (5) meals from that menu for a flat $70 per week. We prepare your meals fresh and deliver them locally.
Meals, prices, menu items, packaging, and the delivery area can change. We will be clear about what’s currently available when you order.
2. Delivery area
We deliver to addresses in and around Delray Beach, Florida, generally within a ~6 mile radius. If you’re close to that line, ask us - sometimes we can stretch and sometimes we can’t. We are not able to ship meals.
3. The weekly order window
Orders are taken for the upcoming week as follows:
- Order window: Wednesday through Friday (Eastern Time) for delivery the following Monday.
- Confirmation: your order is not final until we confirm it back to you by phone, text, or email.
- Late orders: if you reach out after Friday, we’ll do what we can - but we can’t guarantee a spot once the week is built.
You must be at least 18 years old to place an order.
4. Payment
Payment terms (when and how you pay for your week) will be confirmed at the time of order. The flat rate is $70 for five meals per week. Any sales tax, delivery surcharges, or future pricing changes will be disclosed before you confirm.
5. Cancellations and changes
- Inside the order window (Wed-Fri): you can change or cancel your upcoming week with no charge.
- After the order window closes: the menu is locked, ingredients are bought, and food has been prepped. Changes and cancellations after that point are not guaranteed, and we may not be able to refund the week.
- Missed deliveries: if you’re not available at the agreed window, contact us right away. Meals left for a long time at the door are not our responsibility.
6. Allergen and food-safety disclaimer
It is your responsibility to disclose any allergies, sensitivities, or dietary restrictions when you order. Photos and descriptions of meals are illustrative; final preparation may vary.
Once meals are delivered, food safety is in your hands:
- Refrigerate promptly. Place meals in a refrigerator at 40°F or below as soon as you receive them.
- Reheat thoroughly to an internal temperature consistent with USDA guidance (generally 165°F for leftovers).
- Eat within the use-by guidance we provide for each meal. When in doubt, throw it out.
Meal Theory is not responsible for adverse reactions or illness caused by failure to disclose allergies or by improper storage or reheating after delivery.
7. No resale
Meals are prepared for your personal household use. You may not resell, redistribute commercially, or rebrand Meal Theory meals.
8. Right to refuse service
We may decline or end service to any customer at any time for any lawful reason - including abusive behavior toward our staff or drivers, unsafe delivery conditions, repeated chargebacks, or fraud.
9. Limits
Meal Theory provides food, not medical or nutritional advice. Calorie, protein, and macro descriptions are good-faith estimates - they are not a substitute for guidance from a doctor or registered dietitian.
To the maximum extent allowed by law, our total liability to you for any claim related to an order is limited to the amount you paid for that order.
10. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles.
11. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. The “Last updated” date above will change when we do. Continued ordering after an update means you accept the revised Terms.
